Rates

I uhmed and aahed over this page (and how to write ‘uhmed and ‘aahed’): do I do what many other freelancers do, and hide my rates with waffle, or do I just reveal my rates?

I’ve decided to do a bit of both.

My quotes are based on the time it takes to do the work, or – packaging things up – per project.

I work this out by having an initial conversation with you and finding out things like; how big the project is (am I writing a one-off press ad or an entire website?), how much research is involved (your product, service, sector, target audience, and competitors), whether you’re looking for optimised content, what your aims and objectives are for the work to be considered a success.

Once I know all of this, I can then give you a more accurate quote.

My rates are as follows:

£400 per day.
£350 per day for projects over 5 days.

I don’t pull these figures out of thin air – they’re based on the industry standards, and annual surveys from ad agencies and leading recruitment agencies for the creative sector.

My fee includes two lots of edits after first draft. Requests for edits must be sent to me within 7 days of receipt of first/second draft.

You can see my full terms and conditions, here.
