If you’ve just seen a series of tweets I put out, you might wonder; ‘what’s with all these random pictures of countryside?’
Every now and then, it’s really worthwhile disappearing somewhere for a bit: somewhere you’ve not been before. Somewhere with different scenery than you’ve been used to for the last few months/years.
If you work in any creative sector, I’d say this is particularly important. If I spend long periods in London, I find my conceptual thinking is limited: all ideas revolve around the tube, busy commutes, people in a rush. I also find it harder to get going on long copy / content briefs.
Well, I’ve just come back from a short break to North Wales, and – second only to Cambodia – it’s the most beautiful place I’ve visited.
At the very least, it opened my mind right up, so that I came back with a head full of concepts, blog posts, poems, and short scripts. Take a peek at some of these pictures and see if you can work out why…
